SO WE'RE KIND OF MOVING NOW INTO CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. THAT'S WHERE WE REALLY GET INTO THE NITTY GRITTY DETAILS. THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANY MORE CHANGES TO THE FLOOR PLAN AT THIS POINT. JUST KIND OF DETAIL EVERYTHING OUT FOR THE CONTRACTOR AND WORK ON OUR SPECIFICATIONS. SO YEAH, AS FAR AS WHERE WE'RE AT NOW, CURRENT STATUS, WE'VE COMPLETED 100% DESIGN DEVELOPMENT. WE ARE IN EARLY STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, WORKING TOWARDS A 25% CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS MILESTONE. AND OUR OUR GOAL IS TO GET CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS WRAPPED UP IN APRIL AND GET INTO PERMITTING. WE'RE TRYING TO TIME IT REALLY WELL SO THAT AROUND THE TIME JUSTICE CENTER IS FINISHING UP AND THINGS ARE GETTING MOVED OVER FROM THE EXISTING COURTHOUSE INTO THE NEW JUSTICE CENTER, THAT WE'LL BE READY TO START CONSTRUCTION AS SOON AS EVERYBODY'S MOVED OUT. VERY GOOD. AND CONTRACTOR THAT WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH THROUGHOUT DESIGN IS IS FULTON CONSTRUCTION IS ALSO DOING THE JUSTICE CENTER. SO IT'S GREAT TO HAVE THE CONTINUITY ON THE PROJECT TEAM. ALL RIGHT. GET IN. GETTING INTO SOME OF THE PLANS. NOW THIS IS THE EXISTING SITE PLAN. IT'S A PRETTY GENEROUS SITE, BUT IT'S LACKING A LITTLE BIT OF PARKING. AND ONE OF THE [00:20:02] MAIN ISSUES THAT WE'RE TRYING TO ADDRESS IS THAT THE THE FRONT ENTRANCE IS NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE. SO THAT THAT SHOULD BE KIND OF THE MAIN, YOU KNOW, PUBLIC FACE OF THE BUILDING. AND, AND IT'S NOT ACCESSIBLE. SO THE ONLY ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE IS AROUND TO THE BACK. AND SO THAT THAT WAS ONE OF THE MAIN GOALS THAT WE WANTED TO ADDRESS WITH THE ADDITION. SO WE ARE ADDING ON TO THE FRONT, ON THE SOUTH SIDE AND BRINGING UP THE GRADE TO MAKE SURE THAT THAT ENTRANCE IS ACCESSIBLE AND REALLY KIND OF MAKE THAT THE THE NEW PUBLIC ENTRANCE TO THE BUILDING. ALL RIGHT, MOVING INTO THE FLOOR PLAN, JUST TO KIND OF GIVE YOU AN OVERVIEW OF OF THE BASIC LAYOUT OF THE FLOOR PLAN, THIS HORIZONTAL PIECE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE IS KIND OF THE ORIGINAL 1920S STRUCTURE. THEN THIS EXTENSION TO THE NORTH WAS ADDED IN THE 50S, AND THEN THIS PIECE ON THE FAR NORTH WAS ADDED IN THE 90S. AND THEN AS I SHOWED ON THE SITE PLAN, THIS THIS PART DOWN HERE IS OUR OUR NEW ADDITION. SO WITHIN THE ORIGINAL AND THE 50S EDITION, WE ARE PRETTY MUCH TAKING EVERYTHING DOWN TO THE STRUCTURE, JUST KIND OF A FULL GUTTING OF THE WALLS AND EVERYTHING THAT ARE THERE, WHICH IS IS A GOOD KIND OF CLEAN SLATE WITH AN OLDER BUILDING. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO FIND. AND SO IT'S RATHER THAN WORRYING ABOUT, YOU KNOW, IS THIS, IS THIS PIPE IN THE WALL STILL WORKING? IS IT DOING SOMETHING? DO WE NEED TO KEEP IT? IT'S JUST WE CAN KIND OF START WITH A CLEAN SLATE. I CAN TELL YOU. BUT THE THE 90S EDITION ON THE FAR NORTH SIDE, WOULD THAT BEING A LITTLE NEWER AND THE IT'S GOT MASONRY WALLS AND THE LAYOUT PRETTY MUCH WORKS. WELL. IT'S IT'S KIND OF STAIRS, ELEVATORS AND RESTROOMS. SO WE'RE GOING TO KEEP THAT MOSTLY INTACT AND JUST UPGRADE THE FINISHES IN THAT PORTION. LET'S SEE ANOTHER BIG KIND OF GOAL OF THIS PROJECT IS TO ADDRESS THE SECURITY AS WELL. I KIND OF MENTIONED THE ACCESSIBILITY, BUT ALSO HAVING THAT ENTRANCE AT THE BACK IS KIND OF SECURITY ISSUE, WHERE YOU'VE GOT PEOPLE COMING IN THE BACK OF THE BUILDING AND THEY'RE ABLE TO JUST ROAM THE HALLWAYS PRETTY FREELY AS IT IS RIGHT NOW. GOOD VISIBILITY FROM FROM THESE WORKSTATIONS TO THE WINDOWS. AND THEN THIS DEPARTMENT KIND OF WRAPS TOWARD THE NORTH HERE WITH SOME OF THE EXTRA SPACES THAT THEY NEEDED, MAINLY FOR KIND OF FILE STORAGE AND THINGS LIKE THAT, THAT DON'T NEED TO BE OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING. AND THEN YOU CAN ALSO SEE HERE THE SHARED SPACES I MENTIONED. IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE FINANCIAL AND SPACE PLANNING SENSE TO HAVE EVERY DEPARTMENT HAVE A LARGE CONFERENCE ROOM THAT CAN HOUSE EVERYBODY IN THE DEPARTMENT THAT THEY'RE ONLY GOING TO USE CERTAIN TIMES. SO WE'VE TRIED TO INCLUDE A FEW LARGE SHARED CONFERENCE ROOMS WITHIN THE BUILDING THAT DEPARTMENTS CAN KIND OF SCHEDULE OUT AND ONLY USE THAT AT THE TIMES THEY'RE NEEDED. SIMILARLY, WITH BREAK ROOMS, IN ORDER TO KIND OF KEEP FROM EVERY DEPARTMENT HAVING A BIG CHUNK OF SPACE FOR A BREAK ROOM, WE HAVE A NICE LARGE SHARED BREAK ROOM ON EACH FLOOR, AND THAT'LL KIND OF ALSO PROMOTE INTERACTION BETWEEN DEPARTMENTS AND FRIENDSHIP AND SO FORTH. ALL RIGHT. NOW WE'RE MOVING DOWN TO THE BASEMENT. SO WE CAME IN ON THE THE FIRST FLOOR. WE'RE GOING DOWN TO THE BASEMENT NOW, SIMILAR KIND OF SETUP HERE. THE TWO DEPARTMENTS THAT WE DO HAVE DOWN ON THE BASEMENT LEVEL ARE THE BUILDING AND GROUNDS, WHICH IS KIND OF HERE TO THE SOUTH, AND THE IT DEPARTMENT HERE ON THE NORTH END. AND BOTH OF THOSE HAVE VERY LIMITED PUBLIC INTERACTION, IF AT ALL, MAINLY VENDORS AND THINGS LIKE THAT COMING IN SO THAT IT HAS A MUCH SMALLER RECEPTION AREA. THAT IS SHARED BETWEEN THE TWO DEPARTMENTS. AND THEY DO HAVE A ANOTHER STAFF ENTRANCE HERE TO THE EAST THAT CONNECTS DIRECTLY WITH THE STAFF LOCKER ROOM FOR BUILDING AND GROUNDS. BUT SINCE WE'VE GOT THAT ALL WITHIN THE ADDITION, IT'S A LOT EASIER TO ACCOMPLISH STRUCTURALLY AND JUST REALLY ENHANCES THAT PUBLIC SPACE. THE MAIN KIND OF SPACE HERE ON THE SECOND FLOOR IS THE COMMISSIONER'S COURTROOM, WHICH WILL BE THE NEW AND IMPROVED VERSION OF WHERE WE'RE AT RIGHT NOW. THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL MAIN COURTROOM IN THE ORIGINAL BUILDING. SO IT IT HAS NICE TALL CEILINGS. IT HAS CLEAR SPANNING STRUCTURE. IT'S A BIG OPEN SPACE. SO IT WAS AN OBVIOUS CHOICE TO TURN INTO THE [00:30:05] COMMISSIONER'S COURTROOM. SO IT HAS PUBLIC ACCESS OFF THE MAIN LOBBY, STORAGE AND AV ROOM OFF OF IT. AND IT HAS SECURE ACCESS BACK INTO THE JUDGE'S OFFICE. SO THAT WE CAN KIND OF KEEP THAT CIRCULATION SECURE AND SEPARATE FROM THE PUBLIC COMING IN HERE. AND IT'S GOT A LARGE CONFERENCE ROOM FOR WORKSHOPS THAT'S DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO THE COMMISSIONER'S COURTROOM. THE DAIS RIGHT HERE IN THE MIDDLE. AND THEN TABLES TO EITHER SIDE FOR STAFF. AND THEN LOOKING AT THE JUDGE'S OFFICE AGAIN, WE HAVE KIND OF A SECONDARY LOBBY RECEPTION AREA WHERE PEOPLE CAN BE LET IN BACK INTO THE OFFICE. BUT THIS, THIS ADDITION KIND OF STEPS BACK FROM THE FOOTPRINT OF THE LOWER FLOORS, WHICH IS KIND OF WHAT THE ORIGINAL DOES. AND SO WE WE LOOKED AT A LOT OF THOSE AND KIND OF BORROWED SOME OF THE CONSISTENT ELEMENTS, LIKE LIKE YOU SEE ON THE FRONT PORCH THERE. SO REALLY WANTED TO KIND OF CELEBRATE THE LEGACY OF TEXAS COURTHOUSES AND. AND KIND OF ADD OUR, OUR OWN CONTRIBUTION TO IT HERE. SO WE'VE, WE'VE ADDED A WELCOMING FRONT PORCH ONTO IT THAT'S SIMILAR TO WHAT'S AT THE JUSTICE CENTER WITH THE COLUMNS OUT IN FRONT, BUT A LITTLE MORE, MORE HISTORICAL TAKE ON THIS ONE. WE ARE PLANNING TO SALVAGE AND REUSE SEVERAL DECORATIVE [00:35:08] CAST STONE ELEMENTS FROM THE ORIGINAL BUILDING, WHICH IS ANOTHER THING WE NOTICED ON THE PREVIOUS EDITIONS. IF THERE WERE ADDING ON IN AN AREA THAT HAD SOME KIND OF DECORATIVE STONE PIECE, THEY WOULD TAKE THAT OFF AND INCORPORATE IT INTO THE NEW ADDITION. SO WE'RE PLANNING TO DO THAT HERE WITH SOME OF THESE MEDALLIONS AND THIS KIND OF TRIM AROUND THE MAIN ENTRY DOOR. AND THIS RENDERING HERE GIVES YOU A ANOTHER GOOD SENSE OF KIND OF THOSE SLOPING SIDEWALKS FOR THE ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE HERE, BECAUSE OF HOW HIGH UP IT IS, WE ARE STILL ABLE TO HAVE KIND OF MONUMENTAL STAIRS LEADING UP TO IT. SO THIS IS THE THE MAIN LOBBY, KIND OF RIGHT AFTER YOU WALK IN THE FRONT DOORS AND YOU CAN SEE HERE THAT OPENING UP TO THE SECOND FLOOR THAT I MENTIONED BEFORE.
